What it is

"Recovery" is the lead single from Frank Turner's fifth album, Tape Deck Heart (2013), produced by Rich Costey. Turner has described it as autobiographical, written during a moment of clarity in a long stretch of heavy drinking, when he began questioning his choices and the company he kept. He has said it is not a song about getting better but about the act of realizing you have a problem.
