What it is
"iT" is a song by Christine and the Queens (Héloïse Letissier) from the debut album Chaleur humaine, first released in France in 2014; it opens the French edition and the 2015 reissue. In the song the speaker claims a manhood of their own in grand, mythic terms. Critics have read it as exploring the tension between self-discovery and social convention around gender.
