What it is
"Hard Place" is an acoustic, guitar-driven ballad by H.E.R., written with Sam Ashworth, David 'Swagg R'Celious' Harris and Ruby Amanfu and produced by Rodney Jerkins. Released in April 2019 as the first single from her EP I Used to Know Her: Part 2 and later included on the compilation I Used to Know Her, it is about feeling torn in a relationship, unsure whether it is good for her and unsure what she wants.
