Who it's for

Billboard described it as part confession and part motivational anthem, and that two-part shape is the mechanism: it meets the listener in withdrawal first, then moves toward encouragement instead of opening with a pep talk.

What it is

"Beautiful" is the fifth and final single from Eminem's 2009 album Relapse, produced by Eminem and Jeff Bass and sampling a live Queen + Paul Rodgers performance of "Reaching Out." It is an introspective, confessional song reflecting on depression and doubts about his career. He began writing it during his first rehab stint in 2005 and completed it years later with a third verse.

Where to find it

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music (widely available). Official music video (dir. Anthony Mandler, shot in Detroit) on Eminem's YouTube/Vevo channel.
