What it is
"Firework" is a 2010 dance-pop single by Katy Perry from her third studio album, Teenage Dream. She co-wrote it with Stargate (Mikkel S. Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen), Sandy Vee and Ester Dean, and Stargate and Sandy Vee produced it. It is a self-empowerment anthem about recognizing one's own worth; Perry said it was influenced by Jack Kerouac's On the Road.
Where to find it
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music (widely available). Official music video (dir. Dave Meyers) on Perry's YouTube channel.
