When the voice in your head says you can't: "Silenzio, Bruno!" 🌊
Luca and Alberto spend the summer hiding that they're sea monsters, constantly afraid of rain or a splash giving them away, which maps closely onto the tiring work of masking any part of yourself.
In a 1950s seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Luca, a timid young sea monster forbidden by his parents from going to the surface, befriends Alberto, a free-spirited sea monster boy who shows him they take human form on land. Hoping to buy a Vespa, the boys hide their identities while competing in the town's triathlon alongside Giulia, a local girl who befriends them.
