Andy didn't throw his toys away. He handed them to someone who'd love them next. Letting go can be love too. 🤠
The toys face what parents, grown children and anyone at the end of a chapter face: the person they were built around is moving on.
Pixar's 2010 animated film, directed by Lee Unkrich, finds Andy about to leave for college and his toys facing an uncertain future. After a mix-up, Buzz, Jessie and the others believe Andy has thrown them out and donate themselves to Sunnyside Daycare, which turns out to be ruled by the embittered teddy bear Lotso.
