When high school felt like a crisis every week, Degrassi was the one show that said: yeah, this happens, and you can tell someone.
Over 14 seasons Degrassi built a reputation for taking on teen issues other shows avoided, from self-harm and mental illness to abuse, sexuality, pregnancy and school violence, told through a large, rotating cast of ordinary students.
