Olive Kitteridge is the mom who marks your sweater with a pen at your wedding. And you'll still end up understanding her. 🖊️
Olive is abrasive, funny, judgmental and often unkind, and the book refuses to either excuse or dismiss her.
A 2008 book by Elizabeth Strout made up of 13 interrelated stories set in the fictional coastal town of Crosby, Maine. Olive Kitteridge, an abrasive retired junior high math teacher, is the central figure in some stories and appears only briefly in others, alongside her husband Henry, the town pharmacist, and their son Christopher.
In print; widely available from libraries (Libby/Hoopla) and as an audiobook. Still in copyright, so not on Project Gutenberg.
