Read this when
Your friend said 'I want to be alone' and you packed a picnic and fell in a river. Toad, we see you. 🐸
In 'Alone', Toad reads Frog's note and immediately spirals: Frog must be sad, or no longer want him as a friend.
Arnold Lobel's 1979 Days with Frog and Toad is the fourth and final Frog and Toad book, an I Can Read collection of five short stories about two close friends: 'Tomorrow', 'The Kite', 'Shivers', 'The Hat' and 'Alone'. In 'Alone', Frog goes off by himself, and Toad worries that something must be wrong and anxiously sets out to find him.
In print (I Can Read series, HarperCollins) and in libraries; audio editions exist. An Apple TV+ animated series (2023) adapts the characters.
