Who it's for

Long before the word 'situationship' existed, this episode nailed the comedy and the quiet ache of trying to keep things casual by rule.

What it is

Jerry and Elaine, former partners turned friends, decide they can add sex to their friendship without ruining it, as long as they follow a few rules: no calling the next day, no obligation to stay over, no goodnight kiss. The rules start straining almost at once, and Elaine's birthday becomes a test when Jerry agonises over a gift that won't seem too romantic and hands her cash with a card to 'a great pal'.
