What it is
"Be Free" is a song by J. Cole, released in August 2014 in response to the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Cole said it was recorded the same week as the intro to 2014 Forest Hills Drive, but it was not made for that album and does not appear on it.
