"Emotionless" is a song by Good Charlotte from their 2002 album The Young and the Hopeless. Twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden wrote it as a letter to their father, who left the family when they were 16; the brothers later took their mother's maiden name, Madden. Songfacts reports that they reconnected with their father in 2008, after more than a decade without contact.
