What it is

"Legacy" is the closing track on JAY-Z's 2017 album 4:44. It opens with his daughter, Blue Ivy, asking him what a will is, and the song goes on to set out what he hopes to pass on to his children. It centres on his wish to build generational wealth, which coverage notes would be a first for his family, and his hope that his children will use it to promote Black excellence.
