What it is
"Unfinished Sympathy" is a song by Massive Attack from their 1991 debut album Blue Lines, released as its second single in February 1991. Shara Nelson sings it, and it grew out of a melody she had been writing. The orchestral strings were arranged and conducted by Wil Malone and recorded at Abbey Road Studios, and the title is a pun on Schubert's "Unfinished Symphony."
