What it is
"Wouldn't It Be Nice" is the opening track of the Beach Boys' 1966 album Pet Sounds, written by Brian Wilson, Tony Asher and Mike Love. The song shows a young couple, strengthened by their love, imagining the freedoms they would have once married, such as living together. Asher said he and Wilson drew on their own experience of being too young for a serious relationship while wanting it taken seriously.
