What it is
"They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)" is the lead single from Pete Rock & CL Smooth's 1992 album Mecca and the Soul Brother. It honors Troy Dixon, known as "Trouble" T. Roy, a dancer with Heavy D & the Boyz and a close friend of the duo, who died in an accidental fall while on tour in 1990. The beat samples a version of "Today" by Tom Scott and the California Dreamers.
