What it is
"It Won't Be Like This for Long" is a 2008 country ballad by Darius Rucker, co-written with Chris DuBois and Ashley Gorley, and the second single from his first country album, Learn to Live. It follows a couple as their daughter grows: sleepless nights with a crying newborn, then her clinging to her father on her first day of preschool, each hard stage met with the reminder that it will pass.
