Same routine, different day. Walking through it anyway 🎻
Who it's for
Richard Ashcroft's song is about the hamster wheel of working and living just to get by and the struggle to change.

What it is
"Bitter Sweet Symphony" is the lead single from the Verve's third album, Urban Hymns, released in June 1997, with lyrics by Richard Ashcroft. It is built on a looped sample of the Andrew Oldham Orchestra's orchestral version of the Rolling Stones' "The Last Time," which led to a long credit and royalty dispute resolved in Ashcroft's favor in 2019.
