"First Date" is a 2001 single from blink-182's album Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, written mainly by Tom DeLonge with credits for Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker. It describes the awkwardness of two people going out for the first time and not knowing how to act, what to wear or what to say. DeLonge drew on his first date with his future wife at SeaWorld San Diego.
