Who it's for
Songwriters Gene McFadden and John Whitehead wrote it as they stepped out as performers in their own right, and it became an anthem of collective progress and pride.

What it is
"Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" is a 1979 disco song by McFadden & Whitehead from their self-titled debut album on Philadelphia International. Gene McFadden and John Whitehead had worked as the label's house songwriters and were long discouraged from performing; they wrote the song with Jerry Cohen, and Whitehead later called it a declaration of independence.
