What it is
"This Woman's Work" is a ballad by Kate Bush. An earlier version first appeared on the soundtrack of John Hughes's 1988 film She's Having a Baby, and the song was released on her 1989 album The Sensual World. Bush wrote it for the film's climax, singing from the point of view of the husband as he learns that his wife and their unborn child are in danger during childbirth.
