What it is
"Celebration" is a song by Kool & the Gang, released in October 1980 as the first single from the album Celebrate! It is an upbeat, celebratory party song, and it became the band's only Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit. Saxophonist Ronald Bell said he drew inspiration from a Quranic passage about angels celebrating the creation of Adam.
