"Mr. Blue Sky" is a song by Electric Light Orchestra, written and produced by Jeff Lynne, from the 1977 album Out of the Blue, where it closes the "Concerto for a Rainy Day" suite. Lynne has said he wrote it in a Swiss chalet after days of mist and cloud cleared to reveal the mountains, and the song celebrates sunshine and relief after gloom.
