Everyone talked about him like he wasn't in the room. Then he picked up the chalk. ✍️

Who it's for

What it is

Adapted from Christy Brown's memoir, the film tells the story of a man born with severe cerebral palsy into a large, poor family. As a child, he shows his family what he can do when he uses his left foot, the one limb he can control, to write with chalk on the floor. With his mother's steady encouragement, he takes up painting.
