A disability sitcom with zero inspirational speeches and a lot of sarcasm. Finally. 😂
The DiMeos move so that JJ, who has cerebral palsy and communicates with a head-mounted laser pointer and a word board, can attend a more inclusive school.
Speechless is an ABC sitcom created by Scott Silveri that ran for three seasons from 2016 to 2019. The DiMeo family moves to an upscale neighborhood, living in its most modest house, so that eldest son JJ, who has cerebral palsy, is non-speaking and uses a wheelchair, can attend an inclusive school. JJ communicates with a head-mounted laser pointer and a word board, and school aide Kenneth becomes his voice.
