'What is essential is invisible to the eye.' 🌹 A children's book that explains grief better than most adults can.

Who it's for

The Little Prince uses a simple fable to talk about big things: love, loneliness, loss and how adults lose track of what matters.

What it is

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's illustrated novella, first published in 1943, is narrated by a pilot who crashes in the Sahara Desert and meets a young prince from the tiny asteroid B-612. The prince describes caring for a single rose he loves on his home world and his journey across six small planets, each inhabited by a lone adult such as a king, a businessman and a lamplighter.

Where to find it

In print in many translations (Woods and Howard translations from Harcourt/HMH) and in all libraries; audiobook editions exist. Not reliably public domain in the US.
